Two coloured thumbnail sketches of the forest illustration. The first one looks darker, with no snow, and the second is more purple.
The first colour thumbnail had the right general idea with lighting, but wasn't snowy enough, and the houses in the background weren't coming through. Pushing the colours towards purple in the second pass helped with the whimsical atmosphere.
